The company's headquarter is located in Schwarzach, Vorarlberg. VM business operations include: newspapers, printing press, Internet, telephony, book trade and radio. Medienhaus Group comprises more than 60 newspapers, numerous online propositions and radio stations in Austria, Hungary and Romania.

In January 2005, Vorarlberger Medienhaus acquired a 100% stake in Germany-based Quoka, a publishing house headquartered in Lampertheim, near Mannheim. Quoka is the market leader in the classifieds market, publishing 18 weekly papers in Germany, with a monthly circulation of 600,000 copies. At the end of 2007, VM Group launched the wholly owned investment subsidiary VM Digital in order to speed up the increase of its online businesses.
